(ĐN)- As summer arrives, consumer demand is on the rise, especially for essential goods and specialty fruits.
This year, the country’s national promotion campaign kicked off earlier than usual, from June 14 to July 14, introducing new features such as broader participation from all businesses nationwide, without pre-approval. Enterprises are free to design their own promotions, with discounts of up to 100%.

In response, retail chains like GO! and Co.opmart have launched aggressive discount programs. GO! is running promotions of over 30% across essential items and offering discounts on northern fruits like Luc Ngan lychee and Hung Yen longan. Co.opmart Bien Hoa is focusing on green shopping through the “Green Ambassador - Vietnamese Family” campaign, featuring thousands of eco-friendly products with up to 50% discounts, buy-1-get-1 and buy-2-get-1 offers.
Major brands are also partnering with retailers to offer steep price cuts, aiming to stimulate domestic consumption and support economic growth in the second half of the year. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Industry and Trade is promoting a combination of traditional and online commerce to maximize the campaign's impact and reach.
Retailers hope these summer sales will both boost consumer spending and contribute to the national economy amid ongoing challenges.
