Private enterprises hope to participate in key national infrastructure and high-tech projects. In the Southeast region—Vietnam’s most economically dynamic area—numerous large-scale projects are underway, creating significant opportunities.

At a recent dialogue with the Prime Minister, business leaders called for more trust and inclusion in national projects such as high-speed rail. Experts emphasized that Vietnamese firms can partner to deliver what was previously outsourced to foreign contractors.

In Dong Nai, a leading economic hub, local leaders support enabling private firms to engage in major infrastructure projects. Experts also urge tailored support based on contribution levels, not just company size.

With nearly 1 million private firms contributing 50% of GDP and employing 80% of the workforce, Vietnam plans to boost PPP participation in 26 expressway projects worth over VND 5.2 quadrillion in the period of 2026–2030.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh praised the private sector’s patriotism and ambition to take on larger roles. Dong Nai’s leadership echoed this, affirming that thriving private businesses directly reflect local development success.
