(ĐN)- On June 18, Duong Minh Dung, Member of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, attended the Human Resources Exchange event between students and Japanese businesses in Dong Nai, held at Lac Hong University.

Also attending the event were representatives of departments and agencies, along with nearly 300 students from several universities in the province and 23 Japanese businesses inside and outside Dong Nai province.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh, Vice Rector of Lac Hong University, said that in recent times, the university has received much support from the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Many lecturers have been trained to become experts in 5S, labor safety, and coordinators. Thousands of students have accessed this knowledge and visited Japanese businesses. Students who are well-trained in 5S and safety are always prioritized for recruitment by businesses and offered high salaries.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung said that from 2018 until now, human resource exchange events have helped connect recruitment needs between businesses and students, and alumni of universities and colleges in the area.

Japan is currently the second-largest country in terms of the number of projects and total investment capital in Dong Nai province, with 285 valid projects and a total capital of nearly 6 billion USD. In the first 6 months of 2025 alone, 3 more Japanese businesses invested in industrial parks with a total capital of over 22.5 million USD.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that businesses, schools, and students will actively discuss, share experiences, recruitment standards, and training orientations to build practical curricula, helping businesses quickly find suitable human resources, and students quickly find jobs according to their aspirations, contributing to local socio-economic development.

The provincial leader emphasized that Dong Nai is focusing resources to achieve double-digit growth targets. Therefore, training and developing human resources, especially in the manufacturing industry, is a key task that the province pays special attention to.

Through the event, the province expects Japanese businesses to continue to accompany and support universities in the area in training and developing high-quality human resources, meeting the human resource needs in industrial parks.
