New credit policies boost agricultural and rural lending

(ĐN)- The Vietnamese government has issued Decree No. 156/2025/ND-CP, amending credit policies for agricultural and rural development. Effective from July 1, individuals, households, and cooperatives engaged in organic or circular agriculture may receive unsecured loans of up to 70% of their project value.

Under the new rules, credit institutions may offer unsecured loans up to VND300 million for individuals and households; VND500 million for business groups; VND3 billion for farm owners; and VND5 billion for cooperatives and unions of cooperatives.
