Speaking at the meeting, Consul General Daniël Stork noted that the Netherlands is one of Vietnam’s large investors and leading export market. Bilateral trade reached US$13.7 billion in 2024, up 26.3% year-on-year.
Dutch investors are now operating 18 projects across agriculture and industry, including major firms such as De Heus, Vopark and Heineken.
Stork commended the provincial government for its strong support and facilitation of Dutch businesses. He praised Dong Nai’s favorable investment climate and sustainable development orientation, which have underpinned the success of his country’s enterprises in the province. Looking ahead, he expressed hope for deeper cooperation in logistics and supply-chain services, and that the “new” Dong Nai will continue to serve as a key economic hub in the southern region.
Chairman Vo Tan Duc highlighted that Dong Nai currently hosts investors from 50 countries and territories, with over 1,700 licensed projects totaling more than US$36 billion in registered capital. Dutch investments account for some US$937 million. He thanked the Consulate General for its role in introducing new Dutch partners to Dong Nai and pledged that the province will continue to create favorable conditions for all foreign investors—particularly those from the Netherlands—in pursuit of sustainable, long-term growth.
