Dong Nai lures $1.2b in foreign investment

(ĐN)- Dong Nai attracted more than US$1.2 billion of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first five months of this year, a year-on-year surge of 48 percent, according to Department of Finance.

The figure includes 47 new projects worth approximately US$492 million and 60 projects permitted to increase a combined investment capital of over US$744 million.

Dong Nai is now home to more than 1,700 FDI projects totalling over US$36 billion.

The new investments are mainly in the fields of semiconductor manufacturing, electrical and electronic components, mechanical engineering, textiles, and the production of cast metal products, meeting criteria on advanced technology and align with the province’s investment attraction strategy.
