(ĐN)- Dong Nai is shifting from a linear to a circular economy model in its industrial zones, encouraging businesses to reuse wastewater, recover heat, recycle solid waste, and adopt renewable energy to cut carbon emissions and boost competitiveness.
As one of Vietnam’s earliest and largest industrial hubs, Dong Nai now aligns its investment strategy with sustainable development and global climate commitments. Notably, Amata Industrial Park is piloting an eco-industrial zone project with UNIDO and Swiss support, helping 18 companies adopt cleaner production, energy savings, and waste management practices—with positive economic, environmental, and social outcomes.

Leading exporters like Bosch, Nestlé, and Ajinomoto are applying circular models to meet international market standards, especially in the EU, Japan, and the U.S.
However, challenges remain, particularly legal barriers around waste reuse in closed-loop production. Local authorities are pushing for clearer regulations and stronger infrastructure to attract green investors and help supporting industries meet environmental requirements.
Experts emphasize the need for synchronized planning, digital transformation, and collaboration among government, businesses, and institutions to scale circular and eco-industrial models. Đồng Nai is stepping up policies, education, and monitoring to drive low-emission, resource-efficient, and carbon-neutral industrial development.
