(ĐN)- Dong Nai Ceramics and Hot Air Balloon Festival attracted more than 40,000 visitors to the province's Center for Events and External Affairs. The event featured a wide range of cultural and artistic activities celebrating traditional craftsmanship and regional identity.

Organized to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the reunification of Vietnam, and in anticipation of the 14th National Party Congress and the 12th Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress, the festival honored the 300-year-old Biên Hòa ceramics craft while promoting its relevance in the modern era. It served as a bridge between past, present, and future, highlighting the creativity of artisans, young designers, and the application of new technologies.

The highlight of the festival was a 3,000-square-meter ceramics exhibition featuring artists from five major pottery regions across Vietnam: Thanh Hà (Quảng Nam), red clay ceramics from Vĩnh Long, Bàu Trúc (Ninh Thuận), Bình Dương porcelain, and the renowned Biên Hòa ceramics. Another key attraction was the special exhibition “A Hundred Years of Biên Hòa Ceramics,” showcasing over 200 valuable ceramic artworks and artifacts.

Other events included a seminar on preserving and developing traditional pottery in the era of integration, as well as creative contests such as the “Festival Brand Identity and Logo Design Competition” and a photography contest on ceramic product design and decoration. Awards for these competitions were presented during the closing ceremony.

In his remarks at the closing ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee, Mr. Dương Minh Dũng, emphasized the province's commitment to further investing in sustainable development of the ceramics industry. He highlighted the importance of integrating cultural tourism and digital transformation into production and commerce, while preserving traditional craft villages and honoring skilled artisans.
