(ĐN)- In 2025, Vietnam's coffee industry aims to surpass US$6 billion in export revenue. In particular, it seeks to attract investment in deep processing to increase product value and boost export turnover.

Vietnam’s coffee industry is seeing positive signs: prices are at record highs, instant and specialty coffee production is rising, and both farmers and businesses are becoming more professional. However, experts warn that Vietnam’s top position in robusta production is at risk due to Brazil’s advancements. Domestic challenges include unstable output as farmers switch to short-term crops, limited investment in technology, and weak branding — with most exports still in raw form.

Key solutions include restructuring production, developing carbon-credit certified sustainable regions, enhancing deep processing, and building a strong global brand. Nestlé Vietnam’s Nescafe Plan is a standout example of regenerative agriculture, improving farmers’ livelihoods while contributing to environmental protection and sustainable development.
