(ĐN)- On May 7, Dong Nai’s delegation led by Chairman Cao Van Quang of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee paid an official visit to Saint Petersburg, Russia.
The delegation was received by Mr. Kalganov, Acting Chairman of the St. Petersburg Committee for External Relations.
During the meeting, Dong Nai representatives extended congratulations on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Russia’s victory over fascism and shared insights into the province’s international cooperation efforts with various countries and territories over the past 30 years.

The delegation emphasized the enduring and strong friendship between Vietnam and Russia, which continues to grow over time. The primary purpose of the visit was to learn from Saint Petersburg’s experience in urban planning, infrastructure development, and transportation connectivity.
Dong Nai hopes to draw inspiration from successful development models that can be adapted locally, particularly in sustainable infrastructure and urban planning to benefit both residents and businesses.
Furthermore, Dong Nai expressed its desire for Saint Petersburg to act as a bridge in connecting the province with potential Russian enterprises and partners.
Dong Nai is one of Vietnam’s leading industrial provinces, currently home to over 1,700 foreign invested projects from 48 countries and territories, with a total registered capital of more than US$36 billion. Russia currently has one investment project, the Moscow Champagne Wine Company, located in Bien Hoa 2 IP, with a total investment of US$10 million.
