Dong Nai Province aims to build a sustainable digital technology industry by 2030, with the centralized Information Technology (IT) zone in Long Thanh serving as its core. This zone is part of the province’s strategic plan for 2021–2030 with a vision to 2050, alongside two other high-tech and innovation hubs.

The IT zone will serve as a digital industry ecosystem integrating key technologies such as semiconductors, AI, IoT, Big Data, Cloud, and Blockchain. Its development is expected to benefit from the future Long Thanh International Airport, facilitating global data exchange and digital transformation projects across the Southeast region.
Spanning approximately 119 hectares in Long Duc and An Phuoc communes (Long Thanh district), the project is currently undergoing 1/2,000 master planning and legal procedures, with a target groundbreaking before Vietnam’s National Day on September 2, 2025 — marking a milestone toward the province’s 12th Party Congress.
Industry experts and business leaders emphasize the necessity of robust infrastructure — including power, water, telecommunications, and high-quality data center operations — to attract investment and foster high-tech growth. Proposals for a high-performance computing center and digital economic park are also under consideration as integral components to accelerate local digital transformation efforts.
