(ĐN)- According to the Dong Nai Statistics Office, foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises currently contribute approximately 74% of the province’s total export turnover, while domestic enterprises make up only 26%.

Most FDI companies export industrial products such as footwear, textiles, wood products, machinery and equipment, and computer components. In contrast, domestic firms mainly export agricultural and raw materials like cashew nuts, pepper, rubber, coffee, as well as textiles and wood products.

Recently, many domestic enterprises have strengthened their supply chains by connecting with FDI firms both locally and in other provinces to provide input materials. As a result, domestic companies’ production for the domestic market and exports increased by over 12% since the beginning of the year.

FDI enterprises are also expanding efforts to source more materials domestically to boost localization rates, aiming to reduce export risks. This trend opens new opportunities for domestic businesses to grow their market share within Vietnam.
