Dong Nai’s industrial production rises over 7.6%

(ĐN)- According to the Dong Nai Statistics Office, the province’s index of industrial production (IIP) in March rose more than 7.6% over the previous month. Specifically, the manufacturing and processing industry grew by nearly 6.5%, the mining sector rose by 5%, while electricity, gas, steam, and hot water production and distribution surged by over 43%, water supply, waste management and treatment activities 1%.

The manufacturing and processing plays the most crucial role in Dong Nai's industrial sector. Key products such as machinery and equipment, electronic products and computers, and wood products each generate over $1 billion in export revenue annually.

In Jan-March, the province’s IIP increased by more than 7.4% year-on-year. Notably, 26 out of 27 major manufacturing industries experienced solid growth, including wood products, footwear, chemicals, transportation equipment, and paper products.
