Dong Nai produces nearly 2.2 million tons of yarn in 2024

(ĐN)-In 2024, Dong Nai-based enterprises produced nearly 2.2 million tons of yarn, nearly 5% increase from the previous year. Most yarn manufacturing plants are located in industrial zones throughout the province.

Approximately 80% of the output was exported, while over 20% was consumed domestically. Yarn manufacturers noted a significant rise in local demand in recent years, as textile and garment companies—as well as other industries—have increasingly sourced materials domestically to raise the localization rate of their products. This strategy allows them to benefit from tariff incentives under Vietnam’s free trade agreements.

In 2024, Dong Nai’s yarn and fiber sector earned over USD 1.3 billion in export revenue, making it one of the province’s leading surplus-generating industries.
