(ĐN)- Dong Nai currently has 35 established industrial parks (IPs), with 31 in operation, one under land recovery and infrastructure development, and three newly established: Long Duc 3, Bau Can - Tan Hiep, and Phuoc Binh 2. Recently, many businesses and investors have expressed interest in developing infrastructure for these new IPs to meet the growing demand of secondary enterprises.

On January 3, Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee, Vo Tan Duc, met with Vinh Loc - Ben Luc Industrial Park Investment and Construction JSC to discuss a proposal for a 500-hectare IP within the planned Bau Can - Tan Hiep IP (totaling 2,600 hectares). Of this, 1,000 hectares have been allocated to Tan Hiep IP JSC, while the remaining 1,600 hectares are open for further investment.

Besides Bau Can - Tan Hiep, Long Duc 3 and Xuan Que - Song Nhan (Phase 1) IPs have also received investment approvals. Some wood industry businesses have proposed a specialized IP, with Tan Mai Group suggesting the 200-hectare Mo Nang IP in Vinh Cuu District to relocate wood-processing facilities from Bien Hoa and nearby areas. Additionally, the Dong Nai Wood and Handicraft Association proposed a 1,000-hectare regional wood production and exhibition center in Xuan Loc District.

The province’s 2021-2030 master plan aims to develop green IPs that attract high-tech industries while transitioning existing IPs into eco-industrial zones. This aligns with global investment trends and has drawn interest from international firms such as Amata, Sojitz, and Korean conglomerates, as well as domestic giants like Sovico and Saigon Tel.

Nguyen Tri Phuong, Head of the Dong Nai IP Management Board, highlighted the province’s Net Zero strategy, prioritizing green investments in emerging industries like semiconductor chips and artificial intelligence while limiting labor-intensive and environmentally hazardous projects.

Chairman Vo Tan Duc emphasized that while Dong Nai is attracting significant industrial investment, projects must align with the province’s green development strategy. Investors must thoroughly understand local policies, complete legal procedures, and strictly adhere to their commitments if granted investment approval.
