According to the Department of Finance, the province's economy remained stable with positive growth. Exports increased by 19.5%, imports by nearly 11%, and the trade surplus exceeded $1.6 billion. State budget revenue reached over VND 13 trillion, equivalent to 22% of the central government’s target. Domestic investment projects tripled in number, with a 50% increase in newly registered capital. Cultural, sports, and tourism activities were vibrant during the Lunar New Year, and national defense remained secure.
However, challenges persist, including delays in urban planning, slow progress in social housing projects, low public investment disbursement, and sluggish digital transformation.
Deputy Secretary Vo Tan Duc emphasized that Dong Nai aims for 10% growth in 2025 and to complete 22,500 social housing units by 2030. To achieve these goals, the province held a scientific conference on February 17 to consult experts and has issued plans for all officials and civil servants. He urged departments and localities to develop growth strategies aligned with the province’s master plan, improve the investment environment, accelerate public investment disbursement, and speed up land clearance for key projects.
