Over 1,300 hectares of durian cultivation developed

According to the report from the People's Committee of Xuan Loc District, the area of durian trees in the district has been rapidly increasing in recent times. Currently, the total area for durian cultivation in the district reaches over 1,300 hectares.

The natural conditions of Xuan Loc District are suitable for the growth and development of durian trees, leading to fast growth and high yield and quality. This crop is among the top earners in the local area. In the recent harvest season, durian growers in Xuan Loc District earned an average profit of about 600-700 million VND per hectare per year, with some households achieving profits of over one billion VND per hectare if they reach high yields, especially during peak harvest times when prices are high.

The district is also very focused on building supply chains from production to the consumption of durian. Currently, the whole district has 2 cooperatives involved in the production and business of durian, 1 processing company, and 2 packaging facilities for durian exports. Many businesses and export units from other regions are also interested in purchasing and ensuring the sale of durians from the district, so farmers do not have to worry about the market for their products.
