Footwear exports reach US$759 mil

(ĐN)- According to the Department of Industry and Trade, Dong Nai’s footwear exports reached $759 million in the first two months of 2025, accounting for 18.3% of the province’s total export turnover and marking a 68% increase compared to the same period last year.

Currently, Dong Nai is among the top four provinces and cities in Vietnam with the highest footwear export turnover. Footwear remains the province’s largest export product.

Most footwear manufacturers in Dong Nai produce for globally recognized brands such as Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Puma, and New Balance. Products from the province are now exported to over 70 countries and territories.

Many customers have noted that Dong Nai’s footwear factories employ highly skilled workers, enabling them to fulfill large and complex orders within short timeframes. As a result, an increasing number of international orders have been shifted to factories in the province. Additionally, many factories are leading the transition toward green production, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and optimizing energy consumption to meet stringent customer requirements.

Footwear also remains Dong Nai’s largest trade surplus product, with a surplus of nearly $650 million in the first two months of the year.
