Exports reach nearly $2b in January

(DN)- According to the Dong Nai Statistics Office, the province's export turnover in January 2025 reached nearly $2 billion, marking a decline of over 9.5% compared to the previous month and a 5.21% decrease year-on-year.

The drop in export value was attributed to businesses accelerating shipments in December 2024 to fulfill year-end orders. Additionally, the Lunar New Year holiday in January 2025 led to temporary shutdowns at many export firms as workers took time off, resulting in lower export performance.

Key export sectors for the month included footwear, machinery and equipment, wood products, textiles, computers, and fiber. Major export destinations remained the United States, China, Japan, and South Korea.
