Efforts to achieve high economic growth

(ĐN)- In 2025, Dong Nai aims for a growth rate of approximately 10% compared to 2024. This is the province's most important goal for the year. According to the Chairman Vo Tan Duc of the provincial People's Committee, Dong Nai will implement decisive and effective solutions to achieve this GRDP growth target of 10%, instead of the previously proposed 7.5-8%.

Achieving this growth will be challenging, especially as the Long Thanh International Airport and other growth hubs are still under construction. However, with collective efforts from all sectors from the beginning of the year, Dong Nai believes it can reach this target.

In 2024, despite global and domestic economic difficulties, Dong Nai managed to achieve a growth rate of 8.02%, which was higher than both the provincial goal and the national average by over 1%. For this year, even though there are still obstacles, Dong Nai will focus on key tasks to drive higher economic growth. Specifically, the province will prioritize implementing solutions for economic growth, accelerate the development of modern and synchronized infrastructure, focusing on key national transportation projects and inter-regional initiatives. Additionally, Dong Nai will continue restructuring industries, focusing on digital and green transitions, improving human resource quality, and advancing science, technology, and innovation. Furthermore, the province will strengthen the administrative apparatus, anti-corruption measures, and efforts to combat wastefulness and negativity.

However, economic experts note that Dong Nai’s industrial sector, which accounts for nearly 60% of its economic structure, requires more attention in resolving difficulties for businesses. The province needs solutions to simplify and shorten the time required for administrative procedures to make it easier for businesses to operate and implement projects.

Dong Nai has many ongoing projects in areas like technical infrastructure, real estate, commercial services, tourism, and logistics. However, delays due to investment procedures, land issues, construction, and compensation for land clearance have slowed down progress. This has a significant impact on economic growth. If these "bottlenecks" are resolved quickly, it would allow investors to accelerate project progress, leading to faster implementation and creating a strong boost to the province’s economic growth and the Southeast region.
