(DN)- Dong Nai has recently granted investment registration certificates to both domestic and foreign enterprises for projects in the province’s industrial parks (IPs). Since the beginning of the year, the province has attracted 14 projects with a total registered capital exceeding 738 million USD.

Among these, foreign direct investment (FDI) accounts for over 689 million USD, reaching more than 80% of the province’s 2025 target. Meanwhile, domestic investment stands at nearly 1.4 trillion VND, approximately 70% of the annual plan.

Enterprises praise Dong Nai’s investment environment

According to businesses, Dong Nai offers a favorable investment environment thanks to its strategic location, well-developed infrastructure, and strong support from government agencies in administrative procedures.

Mr. Bui Anh Tuan, Executive Director of Asset and Logistics Management at Mapletree Vietnam (Mapletree Group, Singapore), stated that the group has received an investment certificate for the Mapletree Logistics Park Tam An 1 project, located in Tam An Industrial Cluster (Long Thanh District), with a total investment of over 101 million USD.

“Mapletree has been investing in Vietnam for nearly 20 years, operating in the logistics sector and expanding into provinces such as Binh Duong, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, and Bac Giang. In 2025, we chose Dong Nai due to its favorable location, strong infrastructure, and proactive support from local authorities, which will help us complete and put the project into operation quickly,” Mr. Tuan explained.

Dong Nai aims to attract 1.1 billion USD in FDI in 2025, with IPs expected to contribute 800 million USD.

Mr. Tuan emphasized that Mapletree's key objective in Dong Nai is to enhance and complete the logistics supply chain in the province over the coming years while strengthening the supporting industries.

Additionally, SMC Group (Japan) has invested an additional 330 million USD into SMC Manufacturing Vietnam at Long Duc Industrial Park (Long Thanh District). Mr. Takao Matsui, General Director of SMC Manufacturing Vietnam, acknowledged the continuous support from Dong Nai authorities, which has facilitated the smooth implementation of the project.

Mr. Matsui affirmed that SMC Manufacturing Vietnam would continue to contribute to the development of Vietnam’s supporting industries by increasing its domestic sourcing of materials to boost the localization rate of its products.

Timely support for investors

According to Mr. Nguyen Tri Phuong, Head of the Dong Nai Industrial Parks Authority, the newly approved investment projects come from various countries and territories, including Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, the United States, Samoa, Cayman, and Vietnam.

Since early 2025, provincial authorities have actively reviewed and approved investment certificates for 10 new FDI projects and 16 FDI capital expansion projects. Additionally, four domestic investment projects with a total capital of approximately 2.4 trillion VND have also been approved. These projects feature large-scale investments aligned with the province's development strategy.

Dong Nai is currently accelerating the completion of four new industrial parks (approved by the Prime Minister in 2024) to provide more industrial land for businesses. Once operational, these parks will add more than 2,500 hectares of industrial land for investors. The four parks include Bau Can - Tan Hiep IP, Phuoc Binh 2 IP, Long Duc 3 IP in Long Thanh district, and Xuan Que - Song Nhan IP in Cam My district.

Speaking at the investment certificate awarding ceremony, Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee, Mr. Vo Tan Duc, reaffirmed the province’s commitment to supporting businesses and investors.

“The Dong Nai government will always stand by enterprises and promptly resolve any obstacles they face. Investors experiencing difficulties can contact the Dong Nai Industrial Parks Authority or relevant departments for immediate assistance,” Mr. Duc emphasized.
