(ĐN)- Dong Nai had five more communes recognized as advanced new-style rural areas in 2024, exceeding the target by 25%. The province now has 106 advanced new-style rural communes, achieving 91.4% of the 2025 goal, ranking second nationwide.
Despite economic challenges, Dong Nai maintained strong progress, with income in advanced NTM communes reaching nearly 90 million VND/year. Districts like Dinh Quan focused on agricultural production, increasing land productivity to over 196.3 million VND/hectare/year. The province also developed the Phu Tuc Industrial Cluster for agricultural processing.
To meet the 2025 goal of 100% communes reaching advanced NTM standards and five districts achieving NTM status, Dong Nai faces significant challenges, especially in infrastructure investment. Trang Bom district, for example, must upgrade four more communes to meet targets.
The province's 2025 NTM plan includes clear targets, solutions, and cooperation among agencies to ensure success. Key strategies include securing resources, improving infrastructure, and enhancing agricultural production efficiency.
