(ĐN) – On February 7, Dong Nai provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to grant investment certificates to 14 projects at local industrial parks (IPs). The total investment capital for these projects amounts to nearly US$738 million.

The event was attended by Permanent Deputy Secretary Ho Thanh Son of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman Vo Tan Duc of People's Committee, Chairman Thai Bao of People's Council, Vice Chairman Nguyen Thi Hoang of People's Committee, leaders of Dong Nai Fatherland Front Committee, relevant departments and agencies, enterprises operating at local industrial parks, as well as representatives from the 14 businesses receiving investment certificates.
The 14 newly certified projects are funded by investors from Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, the United States, Samoa, the Cayman Islands, and Vietnam.
Among them, eight are newly registered projects with a total investment of nearly US$278 million. This includes one domestically funded project with an investment of VND892 billion (approximately US$35 million) and seven foreign direct investment (FDI) projects totaling nearly US$243 million.
The remaining six projects involve capital expansion, with a total additional investment of nearly US$460 million, including five FDI projects (nearly US$440 million) and one domestic project worth VND494 billion (approximately US$20 million).
Some of the most significant newly registered projects include Mapletree Logistics Park Tam An 1, developed by Saffron Logistics Asset Holdings PTE.LTD (Singapore), located in Tam An Industrial Cluster, Long Thanh district. This project, specializing in warehouse and factory rental services, has a registered investment capital exceeding US$101 million; Quest Composite Technology Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Cayman Islands), with an investment of nearly US$40 million, located in Nhon Trach VI Industrial Park. The company focuses on manufacturing bicycle components; Mega Lifesciences Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Thailand), with an investment of US$28 million, located in Nhon Trach III Industrial Park. The company specializes in producing pharmaceuticals, chemicals, cosmetics, dietary supplements, and medical equipment.
Among the six projects receiving additional investment:
Hyosung Dong Nai Co., Ltd. (Turkey, with South Korean origins), located in Nhon Trach I Industrial Park, will receive an additional US$20 million, bringing its total registered capital to over US$976 million. The company specializes in textile and fiber production.
SMC Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Japan), located in Long Duc Industrial Park, Long Thanh district, will receive an additional US$330 million, increasing its total investment to nearly US$1 billion. The company focuses on the manufacturing and assembly of automatic control equipment.
Kim Truc Dong Nai Scientific and Technical Services and Ceramic Production JSC (Vietnam), based in Nhon Trach I Industrial Park will receive an additional investment of VND 494 billion (approximately US$20 million), raising its total registered capital to over VND1.1 trillion.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Vo Tan Duc praised the efforts of departments, agencies, and local authorities in attracting high-value, large-scale investment projects, particularly those in high-tech industries and supporting industries with low labor intensity.
He emphasized that 2025 is a pivotal year, marking the final stage of the 2021-2025 socio-economic development plan and preparations for the upcoming 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Given this, he urged all departments to enhance their efficiency, cooperation, and responsiveness in implementing the province’s investment strategies.
For FDI enterprises,the Chairman reaffirmed Dong Nai province’s commitment to supporting investors, stating that "The difficulties faced by businesses are also the province’s challenges." The local government is dedicated to working closely with businesses to resolve any obstacles, ensuring that investors receive timely support and guidance from the Đồng Nai Industrial Parks Management Board regarding compliance with Vietnamese laws.
