(ĐN)- Dong Nai province has issued Plan No. 414/KH-UBND to implement the national target program on new rural development in 2025. The goal is to have at least eight more communes meet advanced new rural standards and at least four communes become model new rural areas. All previously recognized communes must maintain their status without revocation.

By 2025, 40% of the communes certified under the 2016-2020 criteria must meet the updated 2021-2025 standards. Three districts will submit their applications for recognition as advanced new rural districts.

Xuan Loc District will complete its pilot project for a model rural district and submit an application for official recognition. All districts and Long Khanh City must maintain their new rural status without losing certification.

Key targets include 85% of rural residents using clean water, 55% accessing centralized water supply, 95% health insurance coverage, 55% of rural workers receiving vocational training, and a 0.07% reduction in multidimensional poverty. At least 90 residential areas will be recognized as model communities, an increase of 25 from the previous year.

The plan outlines specific criteria, indicators, and tasks for departments and agencies. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is responsible for overseeing implementation and coordinating with relevant sectors to ensure compliance with new rural standards.
