(ĐN) – Several banks have announced increases in savings interest rates immediately following the Lunar New Year 2025 holiday.

Techcombank has adjusted its online deposit rates to range from 3.35% to 4.95% per year, with an increase of approximately 0.2% per year for deposit terms of 1 to 11 months, depending on the amount and term. Additionally, Techcombank offers an extra 0.5% per year for first-time deposit accounts and 0.3% per year for priority customers on 3-5 month savings terms.

BVBank (Bản Việt) has also raised interest rates by 0.6% per year for first-time online savings customers with a minimum deposit of VND 10 million, effective from February 3.

Currently, many banks are offering interest rates above 6% per year for long-term deposits without a minimum deposit requirement. For example, Eximbank applies rates of 6.5%-6.8% per year for 15-34 month terms, while MSB offers 6.3% per year for 12, 15, and 24-month online deposits. Bac A Bank has set a 6.2% per year rate for 18-36 month terms.

Some banks list savings interest rates as high as 7%-9% per year, but these require customers to meet specific conditions regarding deposit amounts.
