1.4 bln-USD power plant project expected to generate 2.4 billion kWh of electricity

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, it is anticipated that in 2025, the total electricity generation capacity connected to the national grid of the Nhon Trach 3 and Nhon Trach 4 Power Plants will exceed 2.4 billion kWh.

Of this, the Nhon Trach 3 Power Plant will generate over 1.5 billion kWh, while the remaining power will come from the Nhon Trach 4 Power Plant. With this capacity, the anticipated revenue is nearly 6.5 trillion VND, contributing around 77 billion VND to the budget.

In the following years, the total electricity generation capacity from the two projects is expected to be around 9 billion kWh/year. When fully operational at 100% capacity, projected revenue could exceed 20 trillion VND/year.

As planned, the Nhon Trach 3 Power Plant will commence commercial operations in July 2025 and the Nhon Trach 4 Power Plant will start commercial operations in October 2025. These are key national energy projects with a total investment of 1.4 billion USD, contributing to ensuring electricity supply for the southern region.
