Thanks to these efforts, the province maintains stable agricultural product sales without surplus or congestion. Many products achieve good prices, especially key commodities with high value.
Notably, Vietnam’s free trade agreements like CPTPP, EVFTA, and RCEP have opened wider export markets, boosting product value. Accordingly, Dong Nai has intensified trade promotion activities through fairs, exhibitions, and digital marketing platforms such as TikTok and Techmart Dong Nai.
Since early 2024, DARD supported local enterprises and cooperatives in major events including the Ho Chi Minh City International Ginseng and Herbal Festival, high-tech agricultural fairs, and Agri Expo Dong Nai. These programs have helped expand supermarket supply chains and increase export opportunities, particularly for fresh fruits.
In parallel, the province develops safe farming zones with certification and traceability to meet domestic and export standards. DARD collaborates with local authorities to support cooperatives and farmers in building sustainable production-to-market value chains.
Additionally, many local producers have signed memorandums with major national retailers like Saigon Co.op and Central Retail, strengthening stable sales channels.
Located in the southern key economic region, Dong Nai’s agricultural sector benefits from strategic investment and innovation, notably in specialty fruit production such as durian. The province also implements market forecasting and timely information sharing to guide production and consumption.
Recently, DARD partnered with Ho Chi Minh City to hold a conference promoting safe agricultural product supply chains to the large urban market, aiming to foster a sustainable, modern agricultural economy.
Deputy Director Tran Lam Sinh emphasized that linking safe agricultural products to supermarket systems and collective kitchens nationwide remains a priority, with Ho Chi Minh City as the main consumption market. The department continues to intensify trade promotion and market connection efforts to maximize opportunities for Dong Nai’s agricultural products.
