According to Nguyen Van Thang, director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the OCOP program has significantly raised public awareness, transforming both producer and consumer mindsets. The program has also helped unlock local agricultural potential and encouraged producers to improve product quality and packaging, earning positive feedback from the market.
Looking ahead, in 2025, Dong Nai will focus on promoting OCOP products tied to rural tourism by leveraging local cultural values and specialties. Efforts will also be made to strengthen digital transformation in program management, including the development of software for product evaluation and classification.
In addition, authorities will enhance planning for raw material zones, invest in high-tech agriculture and post-harvest processing, and support producers in brand building, quality control, labeling, traceability, and geographical indication registration to ensure long-term sustainability.
