(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s approved provincial plan for 2021-2030, with a vision toward 2050, sets five breakthrough priorities alongside 36 key project chains aimed at accelerating socio-economic development.

The plan targets Dong Nai to become a high-growth province by 2030, ranking among the top in national income. By 2050, the province aspires to be a centrally governed city with modern infrastructure, an international trade hub, and a premier destination for tourism and services.

Chairman Vo Tan Duc highlights the plan as a strategic opportunity to unlock development bottlenecks and foster new growth drivers. The five breakthrough areas include efficient exploitation of Long Thanh international airport, completing modern infrastructure networks, developing green industrial parks with low carbon emissions, building innovation and digital transformation centers, and establishing high-class urban and tourism complexes.

The 36 priority projects span five sectors: industry, services, urban development, transport infrastructure, and socio-political and cultural fields. Notable projects include Long Thanh Airport urban area, Bien Hoa dual-use airport, Chua Chan mountain tourism urban zone, Dong Nai riverside urban chains, and the Eastern logistics hub.

To realize these goals, the Department of Construction stresses accelerating the preparation and approval of urban and subdivision master plans, particularly at the 1:2,000 scale, which underpin investment attraction efforts. For instance, the Long Thanh airport project requires both a general and subdivision urban plan, while the Bien Hoa dual-use airport and riverside urban chains need synchronized planning across multiple localities.

Governor Vo Tan Duc calls for urgent progress in submitting and approving these plans, setting deadlines mid-2025 to mid-2026 for key documents. Meanwhile, interim measures include simultaneous planning to speed approvals and local reviews of existing detailed plans to adjust for new development orientations.

Overall, the province is laying a comprehensive planning foundation to attract investment and propel Dong Nai’s rapid transformation into a modern, dynamic urban-industrial center.
