(ĐN)- As the year draws to a close, a surge of large-scale trade fairs and promotional events has swept across the Southeast region and nationwide, providing businesses in Dong Nai a prime opportunity to showcase their products.
Dong Nai’s Department of Industry and Trade has actively supported local enterprises, cooperatives, and OCOP producers in joining regional and national trade events. These include the 22nd Vietnam International Trade Fair in Ho Chi Minh City, the Dong Nai Year-End Shopping Fair, and regional showcases in Tay Ninh and Ba Ria - Vung Tau. Notably, Dong Nai also had a strong presence at the Dalat Flower Festival 2024 through a dedicated OCOP product booth.

Nguyen Van Linh, Director of the Dong Nai Trade Promotion Center, emphasized the value of these events in helping local businesses expand their distribution channels and boost brand awareness ahead of Tet. For example, a 15-member delegation from Dong Nai attended the Tay Ninh regional specialties fair, while OCOP representatives also participated in the nationwide supply-demand connectivity forum in Ho Chi Minh City.
Nguyen Thi Thanh Thanh, CEO of Domilk JSC, which produces 13 dairy-based confectionery lines, said the fairs helped them connect with potential partners and reach new markets. In parallel, the company is also scaling up e-commerce activities to meet changing consumer habits.
Locally, the Dong Nai Year-End Shopping Fair (Dec 23, 2024 – Jan 1, 2025) hosted nearly 190 booths, including 20 from Dong Nai businesses, showcasing OCOP and rural industrial products. Divided into commercial, OCOP, and food zones, the fair offered a vibrant space for both trade and community engagement, including nightly music performances.
Tran Van Thuan, Director of Thuan Duong Herbal Co. from Ba Ria – Vung Tau, noted that the fair is a valuable platform to present their OCOP 4-star turmeric products and connect with buyers from Dong Nai, HCMC, Binh Duong, and the Mekong Delta.
As Lunar New Year approaches, such promotional efforts play a key role in enhancing visibility, consumer trust, and market reach for local producers.
