(ĐN) - Long Duc Investment Co. Ltd, a Vietnam-Japan joint venture, last week held a ceremony to mark the 10th founding anniversary of Long Duc Industrial Park (IP).

The ceremony was attended by Japanese consul general in HCMC Ono Masuo, Secretary of Dong Nai’s Party Committee Nguyen Hong Linh and Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang.
Covering an area of 282.8 hectares with total investment of over VND1 trillion, Long Duc Industrial Park of Long Duc Investment Co. Ltd is a joint venture between Vietnamese Donafood and three Japanese companies Sojitz Corporation, Daiwa House Industry and Kobelco Eco-Solution.
Becoming operational in 2013, the IP has so far attracted 70 projects with a combined capital of US$2 billion, creating stable jobs for 8,000 laborers.
Addressing at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Hoang highly appreciated efforts made by the IP in operating effectively, contributing to the province’s socio-economic development as well as to the construction of Japan-Vietnam friendship cooperation during the 50-year stage.
The provincial leader also hoped that the company would continue its efforts to make the IP more developed. Dong Nai pledged that Dong Nai would continue efforts to assist the company to become more and more developed and more successful in the future.
On this occasion, the provincial People’s Committee presented certificate of merit to the company for its contribution to the local socio-economic development.
