The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), the project’s investor, reported that the ground leveling and water drainage package is now 90% complete. Ground leveling for areas designated for runways, taxiways, airplane parking lots, and sites for components 1, 2, and 4 has been completed, paving the way for the next phases of construction.

Contractors are currently mobilizing over 300 employees and 150 pieces of machinery and equipment for earthworks and concrete works for the runway, taxiway, and airplane parking lots. Around 450 engineers and workers are engaged in the construction of the terminal, focusing on building fencing, internal roads, and bored piles.

For roads T1 and T2 connecting to the airport, the contractor has constructed shelters for workers and a testing station. They have also assembled human and material resources in preparation for the upcoming construction work.

A road used for transporting machinery and equipment for the airport project from National Highway 51 to Long Thanh airport is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by the end of November.

Dong Nai authorities have handed over 2,532 hectares of land for phase 1 of the airport project to the investor in August, with the remaining 2,470 hectares set to be handed over by the end of this month.

For the two connecting roads, over 60 hectares of land has been handed over to the contractor for road T1, accounting for 99% of the total land area, while 14 hectares, equal to over 28% of the land area for road T2, has also been delivered.
