This has been the first hike in 2023, after five increases and seven declines in 2022. The retail price of a 12kg cooking gas cylinder now ranges between VND477,000 and VND505,000, a rise of VND62,000-63,000.
The price hike was attributed to an increase in the global gas price, which is USD790 per tonne now, a hike of USD192.5 per tonne from the previous month.
