The number of orders for Dong Nai’s garment and textile companies has decreased by 20-30 percent and the situation has been forecasted not to improve in 2023.

Workers at lots of companies in Dong Nai already have an additional 3-4 days a month off due to a fall in orders. This has meant local companies have considered applying a longer Tet holiday with at least 10 days for their staff.
TKG Taekwang Vina Company in Bien Hoa City will help subsidise transport costs for their 3,500 workers to return home for the Tet holiday which will last at least 10 days.
Le Nhat Truong, trade union chairman of Pousung Vietnam Ltd. Co., said that 25,000 workers would have the longest Tet holiday this year with 10 days.
The Tet holiday of TNHH Quadrille Vietnam at Amata Industrial Park will be 11 days.
According to trade union representative Hoa Thi Phuong Nhi at Longwell Ltd. Co. in Thong Nhat District, many workers had to stay in Dong Nai during the Tet Holiday in 2021 and 2022. So the longer Tet holiday this year would give them more time with their families.
