(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s exports of wood and wooden products estimated to hit US$1.3 billion in the first eight months of this year, accounting for 7.9 percent of the province’s total export turnover, down 2.4 percent year-on-year, the Department of Industry and Trade reported.
The decrease was attributed to the reduction of importing goods from the countries and rising prices of wood raw materials.
US, Japan, and the Republic of Korea (RoK) were the province’s largest wood importers in Jan-Sept period. Accordingly, Dong Nai’s wood export to the US reached US$883 million. The exports to Japan and the RoK were US$149 million and US$140 million, respectively.
