The project will comprise a two-kilometer-long Nhon Trach Bridge and an approach road, some 600 meters long, and require VND1.8 trillion in investment, the local media reported.

Under an agreement signed by the My Thuan Project Management Board under the ministry and a South Korean firm, the project will get off the ground in July. However, HCMC has not finished site clearance for the access road.

As such, the ministry urged the city to promptly complete capital allocation procedures for the site clearance and compensation processes for the rest. The entire site of the project must be handed over this year.

The Nhon Trach bridge project is part of the Tan Van-Nhon Trach section of the Beltway No. 3 project. When in place, the bridge is expected to shorten the distance between Nhon Trach District in Dong Nai Province and HCMC or Binh Duong and reduce the number of vehicles entering the center of the city and the provinces.

The eight-kilometer-long Tan Van-Nhon Trach road section will connect Provincial Road 25B in Dong Nai with the HCMC-Long Thanh-Dau Giay expressway.

The Beltway No. 3 project is set to run across HCMC, Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Long An.
