(ĐN)- In Jan-June, Dong Nai’s footwear sector posted more than US$2.6 billion in export turnover, up 10% versus the year-ago figure, according to the Dong Nai Department of Industry and Trade.
This figure accounts for some 20 percent of the country’s total export revenue in this period.
The US was the province’s largest footwear export market with revenue of some US$1.2 billion, up 31%, followed by Belgium with US$355 million, up 29%, China, US$284 million, Germany, US$92 million, and the UK, US$85 million.
Local footwear products are now being exported to nearly 100 countries and territories around the world.
Dong Nai has so far become one of biggest production hubs for Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Vans, Converse and Puma.
