Nearly $2.5b spent to import plastics, chemicals, iron-steel and pesticides

(ĐN)- Dong Nai's enterprises imported some US$2.5 billion worth of plastics, chemicals, iron and steel, and pesticides in the first five months of this year, reported Dong Nai Department of Statistics.

 

(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s enterprises imported some US$2.5 billion worth of plastics, chemicals, iron and steel, and pesticides in the first five months of this year, reported Dong Nai Department of Statistics.

Chemicals topped the list with more than US$901 million, a year-on-year increase of over 21 percent.

It was followed by plastic materials, around US$855 million, up 13 percent against the same period of last year.

Iron and steel, pesticides recorded import turnovers of US$632 million and US$102 million, up 17 percent.

China, the Republic of Korea, the US, Japan and Taiwan remained as Dong Nai's biggest sellers in the period.
