(ĐN)- The Dong Nai provincial Customs Department yesterday held a dialogue with local import-export businesses to stay abreast of Vietnam’s tax and customs policies. Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vo Tan Duc attended the event.

At the event, representatives in attendance raised questions about key issues relating to the clearance of goods, electronic customs declarations, taxes, etc. Also at the conference, some queries from of therepresentatives in attendance were cleared up.
Head of the Dong Nai provincial Customs Department Phung Thi Bich Huong said there are currently 4,000 firms with import-export activities, adding that the event is a great chance for local customs agency to inform Vietnam’s new tax and customs policies; exchange ideas and listen to opinions from the businesses to map out measure to increase the management effectiveness as well as provide support for businesses or petition to the customs sector to fulfill tax and customs policies.
The department is committed to streamlining the goods clearance process and reducing the time involved as well as creating more favorable conditions for enterprises to operate effectively.
