Bad debt ratio makes up 0.75 pct of total loans

(ĐN) - As of January-end, the province-based commercial banks and credit organizations lent more than VND284 trillion, up 1.61 percent compared to the end of 2021, reported Dong Nai Statistics Department.

 

(ĐN) - As of January-end, the province-based commercial banks and credit organizations lent more than VND284 trillion, up 1.61 percent compared to the end of 2021, reported Dong Nai Statistics Department.

Of the total, short-term loans accounted for some VND153.6 trillion, up 1.8%, while medium and long-term ones made up over VND129.2 trillion, up 1.4%.

Accordingly, bad debts and overdue debts accounted for 0.75 percent of total loans. The bad debts are unwanted consequences of the fourth wave of COVID-19 outbreak.

Last year, the banks has undertaken measures to improve credit quality, direct credits to production and priority sectors. In 2022, they will continue flexibly governing monetary policy tools in tandem with fiscal and other macro-economic policies to support post-pandemic economic growth.
