Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh assigned the task of breaking ground on this section to the authorities of Lam Dong and Dong Nai at a meeting held yesterday, December 28.
The 66-kilometer Tan Phu-Bao Loc section is one of the three components of the Dau Giay-Lien Khuong Expressway project, whose total length exceeds 200 kilometers and will be executed in three phases.
The Government tasked the provincial government of Lam Dong with implementing the Tan Phu-Bao Loc and the Bao Loc-Lien Khuong sections. The Ministry of Transport will be in charge of the Dau Giay-Tan Phu section.
Deputy PM Thanh asked the ministries, agencies, local authorities, and business partners to facilitate legal procedures to break ground on the two sections passing through Lam Dong next year.
The Tan Phu-Bao Loc expressway subproject will start from Tan Phu District in Dong Nai to Bao Loc City in Lam Dong. The four-lane section will be developed under the public-private partnership (PPP) format, with over VND16.2 trillion in investment.
The Bao Loc-Lien Khuong section in Lam Dong will link Bao Loc City with the Lien Khuong-Prenn Expressway. It will also have four lanes and be built under the PPP format, with a total investment of over VND11 trillion.
The Dau Giay-Tan Phu section will be 61 kilometers long and require over VND7 trillion in investment.
The construction of the three components is scheduled to be completed before 2025.
Once the Dau Giay-Lien Khuong Expressway project is put into service, it is expected to bolster the regional socioeconomic growth, attract more investors, and enhance the transportation network between the southeastern region and the Central Highlands localities.
Further, the Tan Phu-Bao Loc section alone will help ease the traffic overload facing National Highway No. 20.
