Singapore currently has 84 investment projects in Dong Nai with a total capital of more than US$3.5 billion, ranking fifth in foreign investment in the province. This is information shared at a meeting took place on Thursday between leaders of Dong Nai Province and the Consulate General of Singapore in Ho Chi Minh City.
At the meeting with the delegation of the Consulate General of Singapore in Ho Chi Minh City, Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Linh shared, Dong Nai always considers Singaporean investors as a strategic partner of the province and is always ready to support and create favorable conditions for Singaporean investors. The Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee introduced the province's strengths and socioeconomic development, and added more about the attractive fields that are calling for investment in the province such as: high-tech industry, 4.0 technology, high-tech agriculture, large-scale aviation service projects serving Long Thanh International Airport, projects for human development such as education, health care, public affairs, urban drainage, urban environment.
Mr. Kho Ngee Seng Roy, Consul General of Singapore in Ho Chi Minh City said that Singapore is a country with strengths in education, water management, urban planning, environmental protection and climate change combat. Through a survey on the investment environment in Vietnam, Singaporean investors have highly appreciated and considered that Vietnam in general and Dong Nai in particular are attractive and ideal destinations. The Consul General added that he will continue to introduce Singaporean investors and businesses to invest in the areas that Dong Nai is prioritizing to attract.
The two sides also discussed issues about the relationship between the two countries in general and between Dong Nai and Singapore's localities in particular, and hoped that Dong Nai and Singapore would further strengthen economic cooperation and cultural exchanges in the future. The Dong Nai leader hoped that the province would continue to be an investment destination for Singaporean businesses and a partner of Singaporean localities in the coming time.
