This is information shared during a courtesy meeting took place recently between the leaders of Dong Nai Province and the Japanese Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the meeting, the two sides exchanged issues of mutual concern, about the relationship between Vietnam and Japan in general and localities of the two countries in particular. At the same time, the two sides also set out directions for cooperation in the coming time to tighten and deepen the relationship between Dong Nai and Japanese localities.
Mr. Watanabe Nobuhiro, Consul General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, said that, Dong Nai currently has more than 200 Japanese enterprises investing in the province. The branch of Japanese businesses association in Dong Nai currently has 138 members. Therefore, Dong Nai is considered as one of the attractive investment destinations of Japanese businesses.Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Linh said that Dong Nai wishes to invite more Japanese businesses to invest in the province. He also thanked Japan for supporting Vietnam with five million doses of vaccines to prevent Covid-19 in the past time. The Provincial Party Committee Secretary affirmed that the Dong Nai provincial government will continue to accompany and support FDI enterprises in general and Japanese enterprises in particular, creating favorable conditions for investors in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic remaining complicated.
Consul General Watanabe Nobuhiro expressed his gratitude to the Vietnamese government in general and Dong Nai province in particular for accompanying Japanese businesses, and supporting vaccination for Japanese experts who are living and working in Dong Nai province in the context of complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic. Mr. Nobuhiro said that the relationship between Japan and Vietnam is very important. Vietnam and Japan will celebrate the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations in 2023. On this occasion, the Japanese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City will coordinate with the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association in Dong Nai province to organize programs to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.
The two sides hope that Dong Nai will continue to be an investment destination for Japanese businesses and a partner of Japanese localities to contribute to tightening the relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
