In Oct, the mining industry contracted 5 percent from a month earlier while processing and manufacturing expanded 11 percent; electricity production and distribution up 26 percent; water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment up 8 percent, the Department of Industry and Trade reported.
Generally, in the first 10 months of 2021, industrial production increased by 3.3 percent over the same period last year, the slowest pace in many years.
