Accordingly, the province’s total imports reached more than US$1.2 billion in the period, up 73.4 percent against the same period last year.
In October only, iron and steel import value hit US$197 million, up 20 percent month-on-month.
China remains the largest supplier of domestic iron and steel products with total turnover of US$580 million. It was followed by the Republic of Korea, US$301 million, and Japan, US$112 million.
