This is the sixth hike in five consecutive months and the ninth hike in 2021, with a total hike of over VND160,000 per 12-kilogram cylinder.
The retail price of a 12kg cooking gas cylinder now ranges between VND477,000 and VND501,000. The price hike was attributed to a rise in the global gas price, which is USD85o per tonne now, a surge of USD52.5 per tonne from the previous month.
