This is the fifth hike in five consecutive months in 2021, with a total hike of VND100,000 per 12-kilogram cylinder.
The retail price of a 12kg cooking gas cylinder now ranges between VND460,000 and VND484,000. The price hike was attributed to a rise in the global gas price, which is USD797.5 per tonne now, a surge of USD132.5 per tonne from the previous month.
