The first phase of the expressway project will run through Dong Nai and Ba Ria-Vung Tau provinces, with a total length of 53.7km, running in parallel to National Highway 51.
The total investment of the project is estimated at more than VND19.6 trillion. The project will be completed by 2026.
The expressway will play an important role in connecting major economic and urban centers.
The project is expected to ease congestion on National Highway 51, and speed up travel between Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and HCM City.
