Accordingly, the non-State sector accounted for more than VND74.5 trillion, up 9.23 percent, the state-owned sector reached VND4,784 trillion and the foreign-invested enterprises hit VND1,828 billion, up 7.45 percent and 12.3 percent, respectively.
That includes VND16,159 billion posted in May; 0.35 percent lower than April but still 6.72 percent higher than May 2020. Consumer purchasing power was down as a result of the resurgence of COVID-19 in the country in late April. Incomes are still declining due to the pandemic, which also discouraged consumption.
