The figure brought total import revenue of the products to nearly US$1.3 billion in the first 10 months of this year, a decrease of 12.8 percent compared to the same period of last year.
Machinery and equipment are imported mainly from China with import revenue of US$430 millon, followed by Japan, US$232 million, Taiwan, US$169 million, Republic of Korea, US$165 million, Germany, US$60.5 million, etc.
In this period, exports of machinery and equipment surged by 6.4 percent against the same period of previous year to some US$1.5 billion.
These products were mainly exported to the US, Japan, China, and Philippines.
